Prison Ministry

No One is Beyond
God's Reach.

Pater Reach Foundation takes the gospel, Bibles, and discipleship programs directly into correctional facilities — because Jesus came to set every captive free.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives..."

— Luke 4:18 (ESV)

What We Do Inside

Comprehensive, sustained ministry to incarcerated individuals — bringing the full gospel experience inside correctional walls.

Bible Distribution

We distribute complete Bibles, New Testaments, and Study Bibles to inmates who have never owned a personal copy. Each Bible is inscribed with a message of hope and a prayer for the recipient. Over 500 Bibles distributed across 12 facilities — each one a seed of transformation planted in a willing heart.

Gospel Preaching

Anointed evangelists bring the full gospel message directly to incarcerated audiences — salvation, healing, identity in Christ, and the power of God to transform any life regardless of past. Altar calls are held at every service; we have recorded over 200 documented salvations in the last three years of ministry.

Discipleship Programs

"The New You" three-edition discipleship series is facilitated in small groups inside correctional facilities. New believers receive their own copy of the workbook and are guided through foundations of faith, identity, prayer, and the Holy Spirit — building a solid Kingdom foundation from inside prison walls.

Biblical Education

Weekly Bible study classes and theological foundations courses equip inmates to grow in knowledge and become spiritual leaders within their prison communities. Several graduates of our program now lead active Bible study groups inside their facilities without our direct involvement — self-sustaining Kingdom cells.

Counselling & Care

Pastoral counsellors walk alongside inmates dealing with deep trauma, grief, shame, abuse histories, and identity crises. We provide genuine presence and the healing power of the gospel — not lectures but relationship. Many report that being truly listened to by another person for the first time is itself transformative.

Re-Entry Support

We begin the re-entry conversation 3–6 months before release — connecting inmates with local churches, Christian community networks, vocational training referrals, and Pater Reach mentors. Our goal is zero days without community: every released individual walks out with a name, a phone number, and a place to belong.

Lives Transformed

Every number represents a real person — someone who encountered the love of God and will never be the same.

Testimonies

"Before Pater Reach came, I had given up on everything — including myself. I thought I was too far gone. The Bible they gave me changed my life. I read it every night by the light of the corridor, and I found God right here in this cell. I am not the same man. My sentence ends in 8 months and I already know what I am going to do with my life: serve Him."
Samuel M.
Luzira Prison, Kampala
"The discipleship group they started in our block has completely transformed the atmosphere in here. Men who used to fight each other are now studying the Bible side by side. Arguments have reduced. There is something in this place now that was not here before. The word for it is peace. God is here and He is real."
Joseph K.
Kigo Prison, Uganda
"I came to prison as a gang leader. I was respected through fear. When I received Christ through the Pater Reach team, everything changed. Now I lead a different way — through love and the Word. I have baptised three men in this prison. This place has become my mission field."
David O.
Murchison Bay Prison
"When the counsellor from Pater Reach sat with me, it was the first time in my life someone listened without judging. I carried 22 years of shame into that conversation. I walked out free. The gospel is not a religion — it is a rescue. I have been rescued."
